A Fresh Face in Iowa City
Bria Medina, a transfer from Knox College, is adjusting to her new role with the Iowa women's basketball team after a dominant Division III career that saw her average 23.6 points per game, the second‑most in the nation.
During her final season at Knox, Medina also contributed 5.3 rebounds and nearly five assists per game, while attempting only 59 three‑pointers and converting 86.9 percent of her free throws, a performance that included eight or more free‑throw attempts in 16 games.
Her mid‑range and finishing skills have quickly made her an integral part of the roster, and she is eager to learn from Coach Jan Jensen and the entire coaching staff.
