A Season of Dominance
Amelia Castleberg emerged as the centerpiece of her high school soccer team in Stevens Point, finishing the 2026 campaign with 30 goals and five hat tricks. Her ability to find the net in critical moments helped her side climb the state rankings and capture the attention of regional scouts.
One of her most memorable performances came in an 8‑1 victory over Wausau West, where she accounted for five of the goals. A week later she led the team to an 8‑0 shutout of Chippewa Falls, showcasing both scoring prowess and defensive discipline that left opponents scrambling.

The Heartland Select 2026 girls soccer roster includes talent from a wide array of Wisconsin schools such as Northland Pines, Medford, Merrill, Mosinee, D.C. Everest, Stevens Point, Wausau West, Wis. Rapids Lincoln, Marshfield and Wausau East. Castleberg’s selection as the league’s Most Valuable Player underscored her impact beyond club play, earning her a place on the all‑state WSCA team.

Looking Toward College
In the fall, Castleberg will join the University of Minnesota-Duluth, where she plans to continue her academic and athletic development. The university’s soccer program, known for its competitive spirit and strong community ties, offers a promising next chapter for the MVP.
