The 2026 USA Hockey Girls National U19 Training Camp will take place from July 13 to 16 at the Goggin Ice Center in Oxford, Ohio, drawing the nation’s most promising teenage talent.
Among the invitees are two incoming University of Minnesota Golden Gophers freshmen, forward Katya Sander and defenseman Sloane Hartmetz, who earned their spots after a rigorous national scouting process.
Camp Overview
Approximately 38 players born in 2007 and 2008 will compete, comprising 20 forwards, 14 defenders and four goaltenders, all vying for a place on the next generation of national teams.
The intensive four‑day session emphasizes skill development, tactical awareness and high‑level competition, offering participants a rare chance to train under top coaches and evaluators.
USA Hockey’s selection committee, which conducted evaluations throughout the 2025–26 season, highlighted the duo’s blend of speed, vision and defensive reliability that stood out during game footage and live scouting reports.
Both Sander and Hartmetz will join a cohort of elite peers, where the camp serves not only as an assessment tool but also as a developmental experience that can shape future international rosters.
