Summer Camp Concludes
The Tippecanoe boys soccer camp wrapped up last Wednesday, marking the end of the summer camp season for the Red Devil athletes. Over the past weeks, middle‑school and high‑school players gathered on the field to work on team skills and chemistry.
Coach’s View
Coach Joel Slyman said he was pleased with how the sessions unfolded, noting that the younger participants were already absorbing the team’s culture and tactical approach. He highlighted the blend of experience and enthusiasm that defined the camp.
Roster Changes
With five seniors having moved on, the program welcomed ten freshmen who now have a chance to earn starting spots. The influx of new talent adds depth and competition, giving the coaching staff a broader pool to evaluate as they fine‑tune strategies.
Pre‑Season Outlook
Practice for the Red Devils kicks off on August 1, and the team has lined up a series of scrimmages against Botkins, Lima Shawnee and Bethel to sharpen their game before the first official match. The season opener is set for August 15 against Bexley, followed by a home clash with Greenville on August 18. In between, the squad will travel to tournaments at Northmont and Alter, using those contests to test new line‑ups and build momentum.
