The Indiana Hoosiers have wrapped up their 2027 high school recruiting class, a 17-player haul that lands at No. 28 in the Rivals.com rankings and No. 30 by 247Sports. While the class does not crack the top tier, it is designed to plug the most pressing gaps on both sides of the ball.
A Five-Star Prospect
Headlining the class is Monshun Sales, the program’s first five-star recruit. Coaches expect the versatile playmaker to make an immediate impact, adding a dynamic element that has been missing from recent rosters.
At quarterback, the Hoosiers secured a high three-star prospect in Jameson Purcell, whose arm strength and poise under pressure were highlighted by the coaching staff. The class also retained the state’s top two wide receivers, Monshun Sales and Branden Sharpe, giving the offense a potent receiving corps.
Defensive Reinforcements
Defensively, the incoming group features standout talents such as Reinaldo Perez, Myles Smith and Jaylathan Mayfield, each bringing size, speed and play-making ability that should bolster the front seven and secondary alike.
Although the class missed out on a few elite targets, the staff emphasized that the roster’s needs will be completed later in the winter through the transfer portal, ensuring depth at positions that remain thin.
