Former basketball players from The Calhoun School will meet on July 24 for an Era vs. Era game that aims to reconnect alumni, raise money for the school’s basketball program, and bring the community together.
The matchup pits two historic coaching eras against each other — teams will be organized by the legacy of Jim Hunter Jr. and Ervin Starr, the coaches who shaped many of today’s alumni.
Organizers reached out to graduates attending Calhoun’s all‑class reunion, inviting them to sign up and wear the colors of the era they played under, turning the event into a friendly rivalry that celebrates shared memories.

Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday, with tickets priced at $5. The evening will feature a live DJ, a photographer capturing the action, and a buzz of ‘trash talk’ already circulating on social media.
