A New Model for Youth Hockey in West Hartford
Duncan Fletcher, a longtime resident of West Hartford with a deep‑rooted passion for hockey, launched Connecticut GC Youth Hockey in 2019. Inspired by a Russian‑Canadian development philosophy, the program seeks to reshape how youngsters experience the sport, prioritizing skill refinement, character growth, and a genuine love for the game over an early obsession with winning.
Practices run for more than two hours, with players spending six to eight hours on the ice each week across two nearby rinks.
