Leadership in the Swamp
At the 2026 SEC football media days in Nashville, linebacker Myles Graham took the podium to outline his vision for the Florida Gators as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Graham entered the conversation with a concrete benchmark: he led the team with 76 tackles during the 2025 regular season, the first time a Florida linebacker has topped the roster in that category since 2021.
His performance also placed him among just four SEC players to record 75 or more tackles while adding seven or more tackles for loss, a feat that earned him a spot on the SEC Fall Football Leadership Council and a nomination for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.
Speaking about the coaching staff, Graham praised Brad White’s energetic approach, describing the new defensive scheme as “violent” and demanding full‑throttle effort in every practice.
The linebacker also highlighted the influx of talent, noting the arrival of freshman pass‑rusher KJ Ford and the promising work of running back Jadan Baugh, while expressing confidence in LJ McCraye’s recovery and renewed strength after injury.
Beyond individual goals, Graham emphasized the collective ambition: the Gators’ offense possesses a full arsenal of weapons, and the team aims to focus, execute, and unlock that potential against SEC powerhouses such as Ole Miss and Georgia.
Finally, Graham spoke of the intangible pull of The Swamp, the unwavering support of Gator Nation, and his personal commitment to being the best version of himself for the team.
