Dickinson Women's Lacrosse Celebrates Academic Excellence
The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) has named the Dickinson Women's Lacrosse program a National Academic Squad for the 2025‑26 academic year, underscoring the team's dedication to scholarship as well as competition.
Eight members of the squad were also placed on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, an honor reserved for juniors, seniors and graduate students who maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Coach Jane Smith praised the student‑athletes for excelling in the classroom while navigating a demanding schedule, noting that their achievement reflects a culture of excellence that permeates the program.
The team qualified as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad by posting a collective GPA of 3.20 or above, positioning them among 383 institutions recognized this year for academic performance.
Honorees include Ali Broome, Caroline Cavendish, Carson Cerow, Taylor Cheung, Crawford Fisher, Lauren Peck, Liv Rizzi and Sage Whiteside, each of whom has demonstrated outstanding scholarly performance alongside their athletic contributions.
Athletic Director Jane Smith emphasized that the recognition reinforces Dickinson's broader mission to develop well‑rounded leaders, and she congratulated the players, coaching staff and academic support teams for their sustained effort.
The accomplishment comes as the university continues to invest in its sports programs and academic resources, aiming to foster an environment where student‑athletes can thrive both on the field and in the classroom.
