The University of Indianapolis baseball program has been honored with the American Baseball Coaches Association’s Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025‑26 academic year.
A Prestigious Academic Honor
The Greyhounds posted a cumulative GPA of 3.40, placing them among a select group of collegiate teams that meet the association’s rigorous standard of exceeding a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
The award, presented by Sports Attack, underscores the program’s commitment to balancing athletic performance with scholarly achievement.
The ABCA, an organization with a storied legacy dating back to its founding in 1949, has long used its awards platform to highlight excellence both on the diamond and in the classroom.
Beyond the Team Academic Excellence Award, the association administers a suite of recognitions, including the ABCA Hall of Fame and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award, further cementing its role as a steward of integrity in college baseball.
University officials say the accolade reflects the collective effort of student‑athletes, coaches, and academic staff who strive for success in the classroom as well as on the field.
