Rankings Overview
The latest GameTimeCT baseball media poll, released for the week of May 11, 2026, shows that the top ten remains unchanged, with no new teams breaking into the elite group.
The SCC, FCIAC and CCC conferences continue to dominate the rankings, accounting for all ten spots. Lyman Hall, the only undefeated team in the state, holds the No. 1 position.
Fairfield Prep follows in second, while Notre Dame‑West Haven climbs to seventh within the SCC. The FCIAC contributes three teams to the top ten: Fairfield Warde at No. 3, Trumbull at No. 6 and Staples at No. 8.
In the CCC, Southington rises two spots to No. 4 and Glastonbury advances three places to No. 5, while the conference’s other contenders hold steady.
St. Paul, representing the NVL, sits at No. 9, and Bethel from the SWC maintains its No. 10 slot despite each suffering a second loss this week.
East Lyme of the ECC narrowly missed the top ten, trailing Bethel by 14 points, underscoring the tight competition just outside the cutoff.
Movement within the top ten was minimal; the top three teams — Lyman Hall, Fairfield Prep and Fairfield Warde — remained unchanged from the previous week.
Staples’ ascent came after a decisive victory over Trumbull, while Trumbull and Notre Dame‑West Haven each dropped two positions following back‑to‑back defeats.
Overall, the poll reflects a stable hierarchy among the state’s elite high school programs, with traditional powerhouses maintaining their footholds while a few newcomers inch closer to the elite.
