Franklin & Marshall’s baseball program has once again been celebrated for its off‑field achievements, capturing the American Baseball Coaches Association’s Team Academic Excellence Award for the tenth straight year.
A Decade of Academic Excellence
The Diplomats posted a collective grade point average of 3.36 during the 2026 season, comfortably surpassing the 3.0 benchmark that the ABCA uses to honor programs that excel academically.
The recognition is especially notable because the award is bestowed upon just 196 Division III institutions across the country, and only seven of those belong to the Centennial Conference, of which Franklin & Marshall is a member.
Within the squad, 15 student‑athletes earned spots on the Centennial Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, and senior Kiernan Keller was named the conference’s Scholar‑Athlete of the Year for baseball.
In addition, four players received College Sports Communicators Academic All‑District honors, and the team concluded the 2026 campaign with a 22‑15‑1 record, highlighted by eight victories over conference opponents.
The sustained academic distinction reflects a culture that values scholarship as much as competition, positioning the program as a model for collegiate athletics.
