A Free Camp for the Next Generation
Former Mobile football standout Flip Rudolph is set to open the fields of Peters Park to youngsters eager to learn the game.
The Chosen Ones Camp, scheduled for August 15 from noon to four in the afternoon, welcomes boys and girls between the ages of four and eighteen, offering a full day of instruction.
Rudolph, who starred at UAB before completing his college career at Jacksonville State in 2024, will guide participants through drills that stress both technique and character.
Beyond the X’s and O’s, the program weaves in lessons on faith, self‑belief and the power of perseverance, aiming to shape well‑rounded individuals.
Free haircuts and meals will be served throughout the day, removing barriers that might keep some families from taking part.
Rudolph says he is waiting for a call from the NFL, a testament to his own unfulfilled ambition, and sees this camp as a way to give back while he pursues his professional dream.
Local organizers hope the event will spark a ripple of opportunity across the community, encouraging the next generation to chase their own aspirations with confidence.
