The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) unveiled its 2025‑26 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Rolls, a program that has celebrated scholarly achievement for three decades.
Among the recognized squads, Carroll College’s women’s basketball team secured the No. 11 position in the NAIA with a collective GPA of 3.693, the highest mark within the Frontier Conference.
The achievement marks the program’s best placement in the honor rolls to date, reflecting a sustained commitment to both athletics and scholarship.
A tradition of excellence
WBCA Executive Director Danielle Donehew praised the teams for excelling on the court while maintaining rigorous academic standards, underscoring the association’s dual focus on competition and education.
The honor rolls span all five collegiate membership divisions, acknowledging teams that meet a 3.0 GPA threshold and qualify for the top 25 in their respective categories, with special mentions awarded to those meeting the benchmark.
Carroll’s coach Rachelle Sayers and the rest of the staff have guided the team through a period of growth, culminating in a record‑setting academic performance that mirrors their competitive progress.
The recognition also highlights the broader conference, as multiple Frontier Conference schools earned spots on the list, demonstrating a collective rise in academic standards across the region.
Since its inception, the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls for 31 years, consistently spotlighting programs that balance rigorous academics with athletic ambition.
