Trinity Christian pulled off a decisive 7‑2 victory over Lakeland Christian in the Florida High School Athletic Association Class 1A baseball semifinals on May 18, advancing the Conquerors to the championship game.
The contest unfolded at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, a venue that has become a familiar battleground for the team’s postseason run.
Brady Harris was the offensive catalyst, delivering two triples and crossing the plate four times, a performance that underscored his speed and clutch hitting.
On the mound, Ethan Wheeler turned in six solid innings, striking out seven batters while allowing only five hits; his composure after a shaky opening frame helped steady the team.
Additional firepower came from Aiden Arnett and Jordan Martinez, each driving in three runs, while Tyler Ellis added a sixth‑inning double that brought home Harris with an insurance run.
The Conquerors also drew eight walks, a testament to the pressure they exerted on Lakeland Christian’s pitchers.
Looking ahead, Trinity Christian is scheduled to meet its opponent at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, for the FHSAA Class 1A championship, a chance to claim its second title in as many years.
Coach Chris Reali, who has guided the program through a period of rapid growth, praised the team’s resilience and highlighted the contributions of seniors Romy DeCenzo, Parker Loew and Maclean Irby, whose steady presence has been instrumental throughout the tournament.
