Indiana University’s men’s basketball team is set to meet the Virgin Islands squad in the FISU America Games on Thursday night, July 23, at 6 p.m., a clash that follows their opening victories over Peru.
A Battle of the Americas
The tournament brings together college athletes from across North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, featuring 15 sports and a lineup that includes teams from Chili, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, the Virgin Islands, Peru and the United States.
All of Indiana’s games will be streamed live on the FISU American Games YouTube channel, and there is no alternative radio or separate streaming option for viewers.
The Hoosiers’ schedule in the competition includes outings on July 21, 23, 25 and 27, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the elimination round on Saturday.
In their first game, Indiana rolled past Peru with a 56.1 % field‑goal percentage, and seven different players scored in double figures. Leading the charge was forward Aiden Sherrell, who posted 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, while guard Prince‑Alexander Moody added 17 points.
Veterans such as Vaughn Karvala, Trevor Manhertz, Jaeden Mustaf, Markus Burton and Trent Sisley also contributed to the offensive onslaught, underscoring the depth of the roster.
