Northern Michigan University’s women’s soccer program has revealed its 2026 recruiting class, bringing in fifteen freshmen hailing from seven different states.
Head coach Erin Egolf and assistant coach Nathan Phillips said the incoming group is selected not only for skill but also for how well each player fits the culture they have built over recent seasons.
Early Tests on the Road
The new roster will be tested early, as the Wildcats open the year with an exhibition trip to Wisconsin where they will face Concordia University‑Wisconsin and the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
After the preseason outing, the regular season begins at home, with the team hosting NSIC rivals St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth for their first two conference matchups.
GLIAC Schedule and Tournament Outlook
The GLIAC slate continues with home games against Grand Valley State and Saginaw Valley State, and the schedule culminates in a Grand Rapids showdown against Davenport and Grand Valley State before the conference tournament.
The GLIAC Tournament is slated to start on Tuesday, November 3, with the final four to be hosted by the highest remaining seed, setting the stage for an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
NCAA play opens on Friday, November 13, giving the Wildcats a chance to showcase the depth added by the new class.
