The Massachusetts American Legion Baseball State Tournament is making its way back to Milford for the first time since 2022, bringing with it a full slate of competition that will run through July 29.
Seven district champions join the host club, Milford Post 59, in a double‑elimination format that tests resilience as each team fights to stay alive and move forward.
Opening Day Highlights
Game 1 on July 25 at 10 a.m. pits Leominster Post 151 against Beverly Post 331, while at 1 p.m. Greenfield Post 81 meets the District 6 runner‑up, and at 4:30 p.m. the District 10 champion faces Northampton Post 28.
Later that evening, at 7:30 p.m., Milford Post 59 takes on the District 6 champion in a marquee matchup that kicks off the tournament’s elimination bracket.
The champion of this state tournament will advance to the New England Regional in Shrewsbury from August 5‑9, and the regional winner will earn a berth in the World Series in Shelby, North Carolina, scheduled for August 13‑19.
Fall River, the reigning state champion, will be watching closely as the competition unfolds, hoping to defend its title amid a field that also includes district leaders from across Massachusetts.
