2026 Varsity Maine All‑State Baseball Team
The annual All‑State selection celebrates the cream of Maine’s high school baseball talent, recognizing players who have excelled on the mound and at the plate throughout the 2025‑26 season. This year’s cohort features a blend of seasoned seniors and rising juniors, each of whom contributed to their teams’ deep tournament runs.
Among the standout arms, Jackson Barry of Ellsworth finished the year 5‑0 with a 0.92 ERA and 73 strikeouts, while Hudson Iacuessa from South Portland posted a 0.76 ERA and 80 strikeouts, underscoring the depth of the pitching staff. Max Hayward of Cape Elizabeth added a 1.93 ERA and 57 strikeouts over 40 innings, and Levi Laverdiere of Monmouth Academy went 7‑0 with a 1.86 ERA and 47 strikeouts, illustrating a rare combination of durability and control.
Offensive Firepower
At the plate, Miles Brenner of Gorham batted .304 with 25 RBI and a 0.77 ERA on the mound, showing his two‑way value. Kyle Johnson from Bangor posted a .389 average and a .591 on‑base percentage, driving in 28 runs, while Denny Martin of Messalonskee hit .450 with three homers and six doubles. Colby Moholland of Washington Academy topped the lineup with a .529 average and a .679 OBP, adding 32 RBI, and Colin Sullivan of Mount Desert Island compiled a .612 average with six doubles, five triples and five homers.
Noah Fullerton, a junior from Thornton Academy, contributed a .441 average with 19 RBI and 19 runs scored, rounding out a potent lineup that blended contact hitting with power surges. Trot Moody of Old Orchard Beach, who threw 50 2/3 innings, posted a 1.52 ERA and 85 strikeouts, further cementing the region’s pitching richness.
Eric Palleschi, the Coach of the Year from Monmouth Academy, guided his squad to its second straight Class C championship, a testament to his leadership and the program’s consistent excellence. Several of the All‑State players have already committed to prestigious collegiate programs, including Avon Old Farms, Wheaton College, University of Dayton, Stonehill College, University of Maine, Georgetown University, and others, signaling a bright future for Maine baseball at the national level.
