The American Baseball Coaches Association, in partnership with Sports Attack, bestows the Team Academic Excellence award on programs that sustain a cumulative team GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale throughout the academic year. This year, more than 800 high school and college teams met the benchmark, with nearly 500 of them competing at the collegiate level.
