The San Antonio Missions are set to bring back a marquee college baseball event to Wolff Stadium, scheduling a three‑day showcase that will feature four of the nation’s most storied programs.
From February 26 through 28, 2027, the stadium will host a round‑robin competition that pits the University of Notre Dame, the University of Nebraska, the United States Air Force Academy and the United States Military Academy against one another.
Each day will consist of two games, allowing the teams to rotate through a compact schedule that maximizes exposure for the players and fans alike.
The tournament marks the first time since the Alamo Irish Classic in February 2020 that college baseball has been played at Wolff Stadium, ending a seven‑year gap and reigniting local interest in the sport.
A Milestone for Local Baseball
Mickey Holt, the Missions’ assistant general manager, said the event underscores the significance of gathering two premier service academies under one roof, highlighting the stadium’s renewed role in the collegiate sports landscape.
While the full slate of matchups and start times will be announced later, organizers have promised a comprehensive schedule that will be released in the coming months.
Beyond the games, the showcase is expected to draw regional attention to San Antonio’s baseball heritage and provide a platform for community engagement and youth outreach programs.
