The Kent State University women's basketball program has been recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association for its outstanding academic performance, earning a Special Mention in the latest WBCA Academic Top 25 rankings.
During the 2025-26 academic year, the team posted a collective grade point average of 3.602, placing them second among all Mid-American Conference programs and underscoring the program's commitment to scholarly achievement.
The roster also produced eight Academic All-MAC honorees, the highest total in the league, reflecting a depth of excellence that extends beyond the hardwood.
