The Allen Americans, the ECHL franchise closely linked with the Ottawa Senators, revealed this week that forward Spencer Asuchak has agreed to a contract for the 2026‑27 season. The move brings the 34‑year‑old back to the club where he first made his mark in professional hockey.
A Familiar Journey
Asuchak originally donned the Americans sweater during the 2013‑14 campaign, a rookie season that saw him appear in 66 games and compile 56 points. That year he finished as the runner‑up for the Central Hockey League Rookie of the Year Award, signaling the start of a promising career.
After stints with several organizations, the forward has accumulated 620 games of professional experience, the most in franchise history for any player wearing the Americans' colors. Last season he recorded 32 points in 52 appearances, underscoring his continued offensive contributions.
Looking Ahead
Entering his 15th year of pro hockey, Asuchak will open the new season with a wealth of experience and a clear role as a veteran presence in the locker room.
