The Fleming Island community is in mourning after the sudden passing of Aaron Hawkins, a 20‑year‑old former baseball standout for the Golden Eagles.
The school’s baseball program shared the news on its official Facebook page, describing Hawkins as a fierce competitor and a loyal teammate whose spirit embodied the pride of Fleming Island High School.
Funeral Arrangements
Funeral services will be held at Broadus‑Raines Funeral Home on August 1. A visitation is scheduled for 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Friends, family and fellow students are asked to keep Hawkins’ loved ones and the entire FIHS baseball family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
