Tom Moore, a four‑time national champion and longtime architect of the University of Connecticut men’s basketball program, has announced his retirement after nearly four decades of coaching. During his most recent stint, which spanned from 2018 to 2026, Moore guided the Huskies to back‑to‑back national titles in 2023 and 2024. Those championships added to earlier crowns in 1999 and 2004, creating a decade‑long dynasty that reshaped the program’s national standing.
Beyond the trophies, Moore’s impact was measured in the players he mentored. He oversaw the development of eleven NBA draft picks, ten first‑team All‑Conference selections and two All‑Americans, many of whom have gone on to successful professional careers.
