The University of Arizona men’s basketball program is riding a wave of momentum after finishing the previous season with a 36‑3 record and reaching the Final Four for the first time in 25 years.
Historic Matchup
In August, the Wildcats will travel to Lithuania for a three‑game exhibition stretch, meeting the host nation’s senior men’s team as well as Ukraine’s national side.
The fixtures, scheduled from August 14 to 23, will take place in the Baltic cities of Kaunas and Palanga, giving the team a chance to experience Lithuanian basketball culture while preparing for the upcoming FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifying window.
Organized by Complete Sports Management, the tour builds on the agency’s history of coordinating international trips for the Wildcats, ensuring logistical precision and exposure to diverse playing styles.
A key storyline involves Motiejus Krivas, a current Arizona forward who previously wore the Zalgiris Kaunas jersey before joining the Wildcats. Krivas earned First Team All‑Big 12 honors and a spot on the Big 12 All‑Defensive team, adding a personal connection to the Lithuanian venue.
The August 22 matchup will be historic, marking the first time the Lithuanian senior men’s team has faced a college team, underscoring the growing global reach of the sport.
