A Fresh Leadership Chapter for NEO Men's Soccer
Tyler Douthitt has been appointed interim head coach of the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College men's soccer program, a move that has been met with enthusiasm by the university community.
In a brief statement, Douthitt said he is eager to embrace the new responsibilities and to thank those who have supported his journey, highlighting the importance of a strong support system.
A native of Claremore, Oklahoma, Douthitt spent three years at NEO from 2021 to 2023, where he earned an associate degree in construction management and was repeatedly recognized as a First Team Academic All‑American during his freshman and sophomore seasons.
His playing days were complemented by academic excellence, and upon graduation he transitioned into a coaching role, first as an assistant with the NEO men's soccer staff before stepping into the interim head‑coach position.
Credentials and Future Outlook
Currently, Douthitt is pursuing a bachelor's degree in sports management at Rogers State University, a program that reflects his commitment to professional growth. He also holds a U.S. Soccer 'C' License, underscoring his coaching credentials.
Athletic Director Joe Renfro praised Douthitt's blend of playing experience, academic achievement, and leadership potential, stating that the interim appointment aligns with the program's vision for continuity and development.
