All of the travel expenses are being covered by a private network of athletic donors, a financial backing that also unlocks additional preseason practices that would be impossible within the regular calendar.
The roster bears the marks of both loss and renewal; last season’s national championship team has seen several key departures, while the incoming class brings five‑star recruit Brandon McCoy and McDonald’s All‑American Quinn Costello into the mix.
