A Summer Surprise
Caleb Wilson, a former North Carolina Tar Heels standout, entered the NBA Summer League with the Chicago Bulls and quickly turned heads.
In his debut he poured in 35 points, and he followed that with double‑digit scoring in each of the next three contests, finishing the five‑game stretch with averages of 23.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.8 blocks and 1.8 assists.
He shot 50% overall and knocked down 41.9% of his three‑point attempts, numbers that helped him earn a place on the NBA’s All‑Summer League First Team.
The buzz surrounding Wilson’s performance is already translating into optimism about his role in the Bulls’ preseason and the regular season, as coaches see a versatile forward capable of protecting the rim and stretching the floor.
