USA Baseball has unveiled the coaching staff that will guide the 2026 15U National Team, confirming Casey Scott as manager for a second straight year.
Scott, who steered the club to an unbeaten run at the 2025 WBSC U‑15 Pan American tournament, returns with a clear mandate: to replicate that success on the world stage.
A Coaching Lineup Steeped in Experience
Drew Briese, the team’s pitching coach, brings a proven record of developing elite arms, having previously led the same age group to a World Cup title.
Joining him are assistants Steve Butler and JD Pruitt, both of whom have been integral to USA Baseball’s developmental pipeline for nearly a decade.
Butler, a veteran of Team USA since 2015, contributes a deep well of tactical knowledge, while Pruitt, now in his second stint with the national program, adds fresh perspective from his role at Coastal Alabama Community College.
Aiming for Gold in Mérida
The squad will converge in Mérida, Mexico, for the WBSC U‑15 Baseball World Cup from September 25 through October 4, a tournament that will test the team against the world’s best under‑15 talent.
Their recent gold medal at the 2025 Pan American event sets a high bar, and the coaching staff is confident that their blend of experience and youthful energy can contend for another championship.
