Oakland County continued its strong showing in the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association’s Dream Team honors, with four local athletes earning spots on the elite list. The selection marks the most county representatives since the 2022‑23 season, underscoring the region’s growing influence in girls soccer.
Countywide Celebration
Among the honorees, Olivia Jasniewicz of the Colts stands out after committing to Wayne State, where she tallied 13 goals and added 11 assists. Nia Bordogna, also a Colt, contributed 10 goals and a league‑leading 21 assists, while goalkeeper Lexi Calcamuggio of Rochester Adams posted 12 clean sheets and helped her side win two overtime playoff matches.
Jenna Shaban, a key midfielder for the Yellowjackets, capped the season by guiding her team to the Division 3 championship, a run that saw the squad concede only a single goal.
The championship effort highlighted the depth of talent in the county, as Shaban’s side finished the postseason with just one goal allowed, a testament to both defensive discipline and offensive efficiency.
Beyond the Dream Team, the broader All‑State selections reflect a countywide surge, with 17 Oakland County players earning first‑team honors across the state’s divisions, a milestone that points to a robust developmental pipeline.
