The Chattanooga Women's Basketball program has climbed to No. 5 in the nation for team academic performance, posting a cumulative GPA of 3.807 – the highest in school history.
This achievement underscores the program's commitment to scholarly excellence, as every member of the roster earned a spot on the Dean's List for the recent spring term.
Academic Accolades
The academic rigor is further highlighted by seven players who posted a perfect 4.0 GPA during the fall semester, with an additional six achieving the same distinction in the spring, reflecting a sustained standard of perfection.
Recognition extended beyond the classroom, with six athletes receiving Academic All‑SoCon honors and four earning Academic All‑District accolades, a testament to the team's balanced excellence.
Southern Conference Distinction
Notably, Chattanooga stands as the sole institution from the Southern Conference to appear in the Top 25 national rankings, a distinction that places the program among the country's most academically accomplished teams.

Head Coach Deandra Schirmer praised the collective effort, stating that the team's success in the classroom fuels their competitive drive on the court.
