Alex Bowman will continue to drive for Hendrick Motorsports through the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season, after agreeing to a one‑year contract extension that guarantees his seat behind the wheel for another year.
A Career Marked by Perseverance
The announcement comes after a challenging stretch for Bowman, who has been sidelined by a series of injuries, including concussion‑like symptoms and a broken vertebra, and who missed four races earlier this season because of vertigo.
Despite those setbacks, the 29‑year‑old remains 29th in the series standings and holds eight career victories, four of which arrived during his breakout 2021 campaign.
Looking Toward a Final Chapter
Bowman said he intends to use the remaining months of his full‑time schedule to chase wins, to savor the competition, and to bring his racing career to a close on a high note.
