Season Overview
Georgia College & State University has unveiled its 2026 women's soccer schedule, confirming a 17‑game regular season that includes nine home contests. The announcement was made by the athletics department this week, setting the stage for what coaches expect to be a competitive campaign in the Peach Belt Conference.
The Bobcats will open the season on August 30 at Valdosta State University before returning to the campus in Milledgeville for their first home game five days later. Additional non‑conference fixtures include a September 2 trip to St. Petersburg, Florida, to face Eckerd College, and home matches against Lincoln Memorial University on September 5 and the University of Montevallo on September 9.
Key Matchups
Conference play kicks off on September 12 with a showdown against Clayton State University, and the schedule will continue with a series of PBC contests that see the team host Middle Georgia State University and the University of North Georgia later in October. The full slate also features road games at Carson‑Newman University, Coker University, and other regional opponents.
A three‑match road swing in September will take the Bobcats to Carson‑Newman and Coker, while the October stretch includes six conference fixtures, highlighted by home games against Middle Georgia State and the University of North Georgia. The Peach Belt Tournament, scheduled for October, will determine the conference champion and secure an automatic berth to the NCAA tournament.
Coach Jack Marchant said the schedule reflects a deliberate effort to test the team against a variety of playing styles, noting that the blend of home and away matches should help build depth and resilience as the season progresses.
