Indiana Hoops Heads to Peru
The Indiana University men's basketball team has earned a spot to represent the United States at the upcoming FISU America Games in Lima, Peru, a biennial multi‑sport gathering that brings together collegiate athletes from across the Americas.
Placed in Group B, the Hoosiers will meet the host nation Peru and the U.S. Virgin Islands in the early stage of the competition, while Group A features Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Chile.
Their first game is set for today against Peru, with a subsequent match against the U.S. Virgin Islands scheduled for Thursday, after which the elimination rounds will begin on Saturday.
All games will be streamed live on the FISU America YouTube channel, giving fans worldwide access to the tournament action.
The event provides a valuable platform for university athletes to showcase their talents on an international stage, and the Indiana squad is eager to make a deep run as they compete for continental honors.
