A Deadly Collision in a Highway Construction Zone
A multi‑vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in western Minnesota left two people dead and one passenger with life‑threatening injuries early this week. The accident occurred within a construction zone where traffic was forced to travel head‑to‑head, creating a chaotic environment for drivers.
The Minnesota State Patrol confirmed that the collision involved a Ford Fusion, a Tesla and a Toyota. The Ford, driven by University of Jamestown basketball graduate assistant Koleman Lind, was struck first by an eastbound Tesla, which was then hit by a Toyota. The impact caused Lind’s vehicle to be rear‑ended, resulting in life‑threatening injuries that ultimately proved fatal.
Harold Ennulat, the Tesla’s driver from Woodbury, Minnesota, was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger suffered severe injuries and was transported to a regional hospital for emergency care. A separate driver, a woman from Mandan, North Dakota, who was operating the third vehicle, emerged unscathed.
Profiles of the Victims
Koleman Lind was more than a coach; he served as a graduate assistant for the University of Jamestown women’s basketball program and also led the team’s junior varsity squad. Pursuing a master’s degree in leadership, Lind was widely respected for his dedication on and off the court.
Ennulat, a resident of Woodbury, was described by acquaintances as a careful driver who was returning from a routine trip when the tragedy unfolded. The passenger’s condition remains critical, and authorities have not released further details about their identity.

The Minnesota State Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the collision, focusing on factors such as speed, road conditions and driver attentiveness within the construction zone.
