A Milestone for the Tar Heels
Freshman phenom Caden Glauber headlined the recognitions, earning Freshman of the Year after delivering a 1.96 earned-run average and an 8-0 record that left him atop the conference’s pitching leaders.
Joining him on the first team were Jason DeCaro, whose 2.03 ERA paired with a 10-2 ledger, Jake Schaffner, who batted .354 with 75 hits, 37 RBIs and 69 runs scored, and Owen Hull, who posted a .370 average, 20 doubles, six homers and 67 RBIs.
The second and third teams featured Walker McDuffie, Gavin Gallaher, Ryan Lynch and Macon Winslow; McDuffie’s 2.86 ERA and 6-2 record complemented Gallaher’s career-best .983 fielding percentage and Winslow’s nine home runs and .307 average.
The four first-team selections mark the most honorees in a single season since the 2024 squad, reflecting a sustained surge in talent and depth within the program.
