A Global Vision for Hockey
The inaugural India Hockey 360 Festival will take place from July 31 to August 2 in Chandigarh, bringing a wave of North American hockey expertise to the heart of India.
Co‑organized by NHL broadcaster Randip Janda and Tulsea Sports Marketing, the event is designed to strengthen international collaboration through grassroots player development, coaching education and community programming, with support from the National Hockey League, the Vancouver Canucks and Bauer Hockey.
A highlight of the schedule is a Try Hockey Activation on August 1, followed by a Coaching & Player Development Day on August 2, both aimed at sparking interest and building capacity among Indian participants.
Featured guest Harry Mahesh, a member of the Abbotsford Canucks’ Calder Cup‑winning coaching staff, will lead player development sessions, sharing advanced techniques and mentorship with emerging Indian talent.
Sreesha Vaman, Partner at Tulsea Sports Marketing in New York, emphasized that the festival reflects the company’s mission to help sports organizations build meaningful relationships with diverse communities, especially within the global South Asian diaspora.
Randip Janda, recognized as the NHL’s first full‑time South Asian colour commentator, sees the festival as an opportunity to give back to the game by passing on his experience to the next generation of players and coaches in India.
Beyond the on‑ice activities, the festival is intended to create long‑term pathways for hockey development in India, leveraging international partnerships and community engagement to sustain growth.
