Ben Ritger, a 6‑foot‑7 forward, has officially joined the Campbell University Fighting Camels after completing three seasons at Lee University. The move marks the next step in a collegiate career that has already seen the player redshirt a season in 2023‑24 before emerging as a key contributor in the following two years.
A Statistical Surge at Lee
During his final season at Lee, Ritger averaged 10.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while shooting 46% from the floor and 41% from beyond the arc. He scored in double figures on 14 occasions, highlighted by a season‑high 33‑point performance.
Head coach Jimmie Williams lauded the newcomer, emphasizing Ritger’s toughness, unselfishness and elite three‑point shooting. “He brings a blend of physicality and precision that fits perfectly with our offensive philosophy,” Williams said.
The coaching staff expects those efficiency numbers to translate into immediate impact, especially as the team looks to bolster its perimeter game ahead of the upcoming campaign.
