Isabel Kyprislidis, a Woodside native, has been awarded the Jack Bauman Scholarship by the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association, recognizing her outstanding performance both on the field and in the classroom.
A Dual Commitment to Sport and Service
At St. John’s Preparatory High School she graduated as salutatorian, earned a place on the Honor Roll, Principal’s List, AP Scholar roll, and was inducted into the National Honor Society.
Kyprislidis also captained the Red Storm as the youngest team leader in school history, earning two‑time Most Valuable Player honors and three‑time All‑League selections.
Beyond soccer, she devoted time to the Art for Change Project and the Be the Change Orphanage, where she coordinated programs and mentored girls in Afghanistan, writing an essay that linked her personal growth to the sport’s transformative power.
The scholarship, which emphasizes academic success and community service, will support her studies at Long Island University, where she plans to continue both her education and her advocacy for youth sports.
