Will Stein, Kentucky’s first‑year head coach, has made it clear that the offensive line is the foundation of his team’s success. He calls the unit the "Big Blue Wall" and stresses that dominating the trenches will be essential for any chance at victory.
The wall’s roots trace back to John Schlarman, who spent eight seasons shaping Kentucky’s line and guiding it to multiple record‑breaking seasons and award nominations. Under his guidance the line was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award in 2016 and 2019, a testament to its consistency and excellence.
This year the Wildcats boast one of the most talented offensive lines Stein has ever seen, a unit that CBS Sports has ranked No. 3 nationally among college football’s best lines. The coaching staff believes that a strong running game will be the key to navigating a grueling November schedule that includes matchups against Tennessee, Florida, Missouri and other SEC powerhouses.
