A nomination that reflects broader impact
Colby Ramshaw, a redshirt junior captain on the University of New Hampshire football team, has been selected as a nominee for the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, an honor that spotlights college athletes and coaches who make a mark through community service, academic achievement and on‑field performance.
Ramshaw has spent the last two years leading the university’s Student‑Athlete Advisory Committee, where he has championed mental‑health awareness, organized fundraising drives and promoted civic engagement among his teammates.
His initiatives include the Bench Out the Stigma campaign, a series of Mental Health Trivia nights, and a Food Frenzy event that together have raised both visibility and resources for local causes. He also helped launch the Day in the Life of a Collegiate Athlete program, inviting middle‑school students to experience campus life firsthand.
The recognition comes as the 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team prepares to announce its roster in September, just weeks before the Wildcats open their season on August 28 at the University at Albany, with a home opener slated for September 12 against Stonehill.
