Springfield College has released its 2026 women's soccer schedule, a 17‑match lineup that blends a tough non‑conference slate with a full New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) schedule.
A demanding non‑conference slate
Eleven of those contests will be conference games, and the season kicks off on September 2 when the Pride host crosstown rival Western New England University on their home field.
Two days later, on September 4, the team travels to face the University of New England, marking the start of a series of early‑season matchups that will test the squad against a variety of regional opponents.
Among the non‑conference opponents are four programs that advanced to the NCAA Tournament last fall, including MIT and Amherst College, both of which were nationally ranked — MIT at No. 8 and Amherst at No. 22.
Early home fixtures
The early schedule also features a pair of home games against Western New England on September 2 and the University of New England on September 4, giving the Pride a chance to build momentum before stepping onto the road.
NEWMAC play begins on September 19 at Babson College, and the conference portion will dominate the latter half of the season, culminating in the league tournament from November 3 to November 7.
A highlight of the calendar is a rematch of the 2025 conference championship, scheduled for October 10 when Springfield hosts MIT on Brock‑Affleck Field, with the higher seed set to serve as host in each tournament round.
The Pride will also meet Worcester Polytechnic Institute and the United States Coast Guard Academy in rematches of the 2025 NEWMAC Tournament, while their final regular‑season test comes on October 31 at Clark University.
The winner of the NEWMAC title will earn the league’s automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Women’s Soccer Tournament, adding extra stakes to every conference encounter.
