A pioneering hockey exchange
The inaugural India Hockey 360 Festival will take place in Chandigarh from July 31 to August 2, bringing together international hockey stakeholders for a three‑day immersion in player development, coaching education and community outreach.
Organized by NHL broadcaster Randip Janda alongside coach Harry Mahesh and co‑lead Tulsea Sports Marketing, the event marks a first‑of‑its‑kind effort to channel global expertise into India’s growing hockey ecosystem.
Janda, recognized as the NHL’s first full‑time South Asian colour commentator, will share his broadcasting insights and playing experience, while Mahesh will lead on‑ice sessions and a Coaches Summit designed to elevate local mentorship standards.
Grassroots vision and future prospects
Supported by the National Hockey League, the Vancouver Canucks, Bauer Hockey and other partners, the festival also features a Roller Hockey Clinic that introduces innovative training methods to participants across the region.
Beyond the immediate activities, the organizers envision long‑term pathways that connect Indian players, coaches and community leaders with sustained international collaboration, reflecting Canada’s strategy of exporting hockey knowledge to emerging markets.
