The University of New Mexico Lobos have added two new commitments to their 2027 recruiting class, bringing in quarterback Bradley Cassier and cornerback Bryson Fleming.
Recruiting highlights
Cassier, a 3‑star prospect from St. Monica Catholic High School in Santa Monica, California, chose UNM over offers from Arizona State, Washington State, Colorado State, UNLV and Boston College. In his junior season he threw for 2,842 yards, 30 touchdowns and posted a 128.0 quarterback rating, ranking 101st nationally among quarterbacks and 173rd in California.
Fleming, also a 3‑star recruit from North Forney High School in Forney, Texas, announced his pledge after being impressed by the coaching staff and culture at UNM. He logged 45 tackles and five pass deflections last season, a performance that analysts attribute to his tight coverage despite limited ball production. He turned down interest from Pittsburgh, Tulsa, San Diego State, Colorado State, Memphis and other programs.
Both players join safety Tayven Collins as the third early pledge for the class, which currently sits at 82nd in the national rankings and third in the Mountain West Conference behind North Dakota State and UNLV.
The commitments underscore the Lobos’ ability to attract top talent from key recruiting hotbeds and reflect the program’s growing appeal under its current staff.
