A Young Coach’s Dual Journey
At Concord High, senior Raider Agan has emerged as both a standout player and a mentor within the Concord Capitols youth football program. After stepping in as a sophomore to help the team secure a crucial victory, he has since transitioned into a junior coach role, guiding younger athletes while still managing a rigorous academic schedule.
Agan’s commitment extends beyond the field. Enrolled in a criminal justice program, he balances coursework, practice, and coaching sessions, demonstrating a discipline that resonates with the players he mentors. His leadership has sparked a genuine love for the game among the participants, many of whom aspire to follow his path to collegiate football.
The upcoming season for the Capitols will kick off with grades three through six beginning the week of August 3, and grades seven through eight slated to start on August 10. This schedule, coordinated through Concord High and supported by the Concord Regional Technical Center, provides a structured pipeline for young talent to develop under Agan’s guidance.
