The Siena University Baseball program has been celebrated by the American Baseball Coaches Association with its 2025‑26 Academic Excellence Award, a distinction that highlights teams that maintain a collective grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
During the 2025‑26 academic year the Saints posted a cumulative GPA of 3.24, placing them well above the threshold and underscoring the program’s commitment to balancing athletic ambition with scholarly rigor.
The award also brought individual recognition, with five Siena players earning College Sports Communicators Academic All‑District honors, one of whom was a finalist for Academic All‑America honors.
In addition, twelve members of the squad were selected to the MAAC All‑Academic Team, reflecting the breadth of academic achievement across the roster.

The ABCA’s award program, one of the longest‑running in collegiate baseball, has been acknowledging athletic and academic excellence since 1949, and it also celebrates other milestones such as the ABCA/Rawlings All‑America Teams, regional coach of the year honors and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
