The ThinkDIFFERENTLY/D3Day Baseball Camp will take place on August 1 at Heritage Financial Park in Fishkill, offering a free, all‑abilities experience that welcomes athletes of every skill level and background.
A Summer Tradition of Inclusion
Organized through a partnership between Dutchess County Government, the Hudson Valley Renegades and the nonprofit D3Day, the camp continues a tradition that began in 2017 at the county’s ballpark, underscoring a long‑standing commitment to accessible sport for all.
County Executive Sue Serino urged community members to step up as volunteers, emphasizing that their involvement is what makes the day memorable for participants. "It’s a chance for neighbors to come together and create lasting memories," she said.
Each participant receives a complimentary camp T‑shirt, a lunch and tickets to a future Renegades game, while volunteers of all ages are invited to lend a hand. Renegades General Manager Tom Denlinger described the camp as one of the most rewarding days of the season, highlighting the joy it brings to players and families alike. "Seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces reminds us why we love this game," he added.
