A record 344 William & Mary student‑athletes were selected for the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll for the spring semester, underscoring the program’s commitment to scholarly excellence.
The recognition spans three tiers — High Honors with Distinction, High Honors and Honors — and reflects the university’s emphasis on balancing rigorous academics with competitive athletics.
To qualify, each athlete must have participated in a CAA‑sponsored sport, maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and been enrolled full‑time, a standard that the Tribe has consistently met across its 31 varsity programs.
The honor roll includes 41 students who earned High Honors with Distinction, 104 who achieved High Honors, and 199 who received the basic Honor Roll designation, bringing the total Tribe honorees to a new high.
A Milestone for the Program
Athletic director Jeremy Bowers praised the student‑athletes for their dedication, noting that the achievement reinforces William & Mary’s reputation as a leader among public institutions in integrating athletics and academics.
