Clemson’s 2027 recruiting class has risen to No. 13 in the national rankings, according to the latest composite lists from ESPN and 247Sports, while Rivals places the Tigers at No. 16.
Rankings Shift After Tillman Commitment
The ascent comes after four‑star defensive lineman Seth Tillman pledged to the Tigers, prompting ESPN to bump Clemson up a spot.
The class already boasts 25 commitments, highlighted by quarterback Kharim Hughley, defensive end Desmond Malpress, and a trio of playmakers — running back Gary Walker, wide receivers Jamarin Simmons and Trey Wimbley, and offensive tackle J.J. Brown.
Linebacker Bryce Kish and Luke Starcevic are also slated to join the defense, with Starcevic even slated for a hybrid offensive role despite being listed as a defensive tackle by some analysts.
The Safety Decision
Perhaps the most anticipated decision is that of four‑star safety Seth Williams, who will announce his college choice on July 31, narrowing his options to Clemson and Georgia.
Coach Dabo Swinney has emphasized that the Tigers will remain in the conversation for a top‑15 class throughout the cycle, aiming to finish the year among the nation’s elite.
